Pieces in the Shaeffer series combine collage and painting with an emphasis on aesthetic uniformity amongst stand-alone designs. Figures are removed from photos and placed into a blank, dimensionless frame, and begin a new dialogue with the introduction of wet media.

I came across this artist, and instantly thought ‘wow’. These two portraits are captivating - the exaggeration of certain body parts create a surreal impression though the basic colouring and subject matter proclaims beautiful simplicity.
